Try Sample

The internet is noisy.

  • Social media comments filled with "situs s.l.o.t" bots.

  • Toxic comments and profanity in forums.

  • Endless infinite scroll makes it hard to moderate manually.

ContentGuard quiets it down.

  • Auto-blur or mask suspicious content.

  • Regex engine detects masked words.

  • Per-site control: Enable only where you need it.

Privacy First Architecture

ContentGuard runs entirely on your device using Service Workers. We do not track your history, we do not send data to any server. What happens in your browser, stays in your browser.

Leetspeak Detection

Detects s10t, g4c0r, and thousands of variations automatically.

Dynamic Content

Works with Mutation Observers to scan new content as you scroll (Infinite Scroll support for social media).

You are in control.

Is the filter too aggressive? Whitelist specific sites. Need to block a specific word? Add it to your custom blocklist.

Who is this for?

Parents

Protect children from accidental exposure to gambling ads.

Moderators

Visually reduce noise while moderating community forums.

Streamers

Avoid accidental TOS violations when browsing live.

Everyone

Enjoy a cleaner, less toxic web experience.

Transparency

To function, ContentGuard requires the <all_urls> permission. This is necessary because we need to scan the text on the pages you visit to find and blur bad words.

However, privacy is paramount. The extension works offline. The scanning logic (`content.js`) and settings (`storage`) never transmit your browsing data to us or any third party.

FAQ

Does the extension send data to a server?
No. ContentGuard operates entirely locally on your machine using Chrome's Service Worker technology. No text or browsing history is ever uploaded.
Can I see the content if it's blurred?
Yes. Just hover your mouse over the blurred text, and it will temporarily reveal the original content.
Can I exclude specific websites?
Yes. Open the extension popup while on the site you want to exclude, and toggle the switch to "Off". ContentGuard will remember this preference.
Does it support languages other than Indonesian?
Currently, the dictionary is optimized for Indonesian slang (judi online, toxic words). However, you can add English or any other language words to your custom blocklist.
